The Starck Biotech Paris // SH3082 is made with bio-acetate. The material is obtained from the mix of the cellulose acetate, a fiber coming from cotton or wood pulp, and a bio-based plasticizer coming from cereals, beet or sugar cane. The bio-plasticizer is used in substitution of the traditional fossil based one and contributes to raise the total bio-content to at least 65% (calculated using ASTM D-6866 international standard). The patented biomechanical hinge designed by Starck is based on the structure of the human micro clavicular joint. As in the shoulder,the hinges offer free 360° movement, providing unique comfort and flexibility. Handcrafted in Italy.
