Featuring the Live and Let Die UK double crown poster from July 1973. The eighth official James Bond film saw Roger Moore make his debut as 007 and in this illustration by Robert McGinnis, Moore is depicted in the classic Bond pose. The stylish, condensed sans serif typeface reads strongly from top to bottom.Â
Backstory. Double crowns were commonly displayed on either side of the destination sign on the front of London buses. When used for this reason they were purposely designed as pairs.
